Comments: I know I still have this on my laptop's hard drive, easy and quick access to it. Why not? I'm currently changing and modifying the lines as I figure out how to sing them while creating the music arrangement. There's soooo much to do, but I shall keep at it until it's completed and sounds great! It's something fun and adorable. x-3
I know I can do cool sound effects with recordings of my voice (through a great sound recorder and editor freebie I installed), so I figured it's time I do an ACTUAL song for once, aside from the many instrumentals I've done altogether. Now that I have something to make my voice sound all professional-like, recording with pretty good built in laptop microphone, I can do something like this, and do it well... At first, I was having a tough time getting back into poetry. Lauren, like you, the last time I've written poetry was over a year ago. What a coincidence, right? Anyway, I was struggling some on figuring out what I wanted to write about. Then, I thought, "Hey, why not write something about one of the board games I've played a dozen times?" From there, the project idea as whole just took off. I already got a bit of a head start when I wasn't working on my remix of a well known theme; the Mortal Kombat Techno Syndrome.
Most of my older (more serious) poems are still just handwritten on paper. I'll get some together and share at a later point. (As I've mentioned before, I don't usually write in rhyme, yet I feel it was right to give it a go for this project.) If you want, Google Search for more information about the subject. This is basically just a game summarization.
Build and expand
With a tile in hand
Place it down
And add to your town
Lengthen your roads
Increase your score
While watching the others
To see what they’ll build for
Within open fields around cities completed
Place your farmers in them, or be defeated
Farms are essential in final scoring
Partially complex yet very interesting
Different ways to score and win
You may ask which one is best
Go try the various strategies
Put them all to the test
Caracassonne, Caracassonne
That is the name
You and your chosen group of meeples
Should join in with the other peoples
And play this game
There are different expansions
Also to mention stand alone versions
There’s little to none in limitation
Apply a bit of your imagination
Towers, a princess, a dragon, rivers
Bridges, tunnels, guilders, traders
Though I haven’t tried them all
Hunters and Gatherers is my favorite one
Set in prehistoric times, I find it so much fun
Never gets boring, never gets old
No wonder why it’s internationally sold!
There’s even a version of it to play online
Though the original game provides more of a good time
Caracassonne, Caracassonne
That is the name
You and your chosen group of meeples
Should join in with the other peoples
And play this game
