Thanks to the direct contact I have with the students of my digital courses... and in particular with those of Progetto Corso Online with whom I share the work of creating online courses, I have the opportunity to have a truly transversal point of view in the world of courses digital. In fact, it is my experiences and those of my students that help me understand in advance what is changing in the world of online courses , what are the major trends to follow and what trends online courses will have... in this case in 2024. So, if you already have your own digital course or if you are thinking of creating one, get your antennas straight because the ideas I will tell you about will help you understand how to make your course even better. Let's start immediately with the first trend of 2024! Table of contents hide The most evident trend of all… Less is more…always more! Integration of Artificial Intelligence Ok, trends...but don't forget who your students are! Orientation towards mobile learning Offering real support to students Simplifying student work To conclude The most evident trend of all… Do you want to know what is the first and main trend of online courses in 2024? Well…definitely the growth of this sector! Consider that online learning is the fastest growing market in the education sector : since 2000 it has grown by 900% and the trend shows no sign of changing.
As of today, in 2024, it is estimated that 49% of students Denmark Phone Number worldwide have already completed some sort of online learning and it is even predicted that the online learning industry will be worth more than $370 billion by 2026 !* Source: Oxford College The US online course market alone generated more revenue than any other in 2023 , totaling approximately $74,800 million.* Source: Statista Discover the course Project Online course | Create and launch your digital course Do you want to take advantage of this trend to launch your online course? Then I recommend you take a look at my program! Less is more…always more! Let's then move on to another important trend that I would like to bring to your attention: the general reduction in the duration of courses, lessons, but also webinars and content in general. In a world where time is becoming an increasingly rare and precious commodity, this trend of online courses actually responds to the needs of an audience that in 2024 has less and less time available.
That's why people like shorter, more concise content that they can digest quickly without feeling overwhelmed or having to “try too hard.” The trend is in fact to break down content into relatively short and easily followable modules ( so-called microlearning) to adapt your courses to current life rhythms and allow students to learn quickly in small intervals. A 15-20 minute webinar is often more effective than a longer one today, precisely because it is "less demanding" in the minds of the participants. The same goes for online course lessons : I advise you to always try to stay under 30 minutes ( except for special cases, obviously ) to be able to keep students' interest high. So if you have structured your course into long and endless mega-lessons, well... I highly recommend you review them to make them easier to follow! Integration of Artificial Intelligence Whether you like AI or not ( I'm not a fan of it at all ), the introduction of some element related to the use of this technology is one of the fastest growing trends in 2024 for online courses and everything there is bound.
